About Us
Ecohouse helps homeowners and small business owners in Central Ohio reduce their utility bills and impact on the environment with Solar energy installations and practical energy efficiency solutions.
Since 2008, Ecohouse has installed numerous solar energy systems and completed more than 1,500 energy audits, helping many families and small businesses reduce their utility expenses. We are committed to learning and implementing the best available building science by performing comprehensive energy audits, home energy ratings, and installation of Solar Electric and Solar Thermal systems.
Kevin Eigel, the owner of Ecohouse, designed and built a passive solar, super-insulated house in 2002. The energy costs of this home are 90% less than the average American home. "Energy conservation is not just a job. I am commited to reducing energy use because I care about how future generations will be impacted by our actions today. This motivates me to help you reduce your home energy use as much as possible."
Kevin has in-depth experience with energy efficiency and solar energy. He has worked with the federal Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) and utility energy efficiency programs (Columbia Gas and AEP). Kevin is certified through the BPI (Building Performance Institute), RESNET (Residential Energy Service Network) and is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.
