Solar Thermal is a great way to use free energy from the sun to heat your water.

In Ohio, Solar Thermal is a very reliable way to let the sun heat up to 75% of your hot water. This proven technology is used all over the world for hot water heating. With the Federal Tax credit of 30% of the cost, and a Green Energy Ohio grant, the payback for a Solar Thermal installation is less than ten years.

As with Solar Electric, a Solar Site assessment is usually required in order to measure the amount of sun and shade at your site, record the site characteristics and determine the appropriate system for your needs. The site assessment is free with Ecohouse.
